This is a free event, lasting one hour. I'm treating it as a practice run for my premiere online Vim Masterclass, which runs a week later. It will be my first time teaching a class of this size in this format, and I expect to make mistakes. I'll run through 20-30 minutes of prepared material, and spend the rest of the time answering your questions. You're doing me a favour by attending. Thank you!

How does it work?

I'll teach this class using a combination of slides and live coding. I'll broadcast a live stream of my screen and voice using Adobe Connect. We'll use a text chat room to communicate together as a class. You can ask questions at any time, and I'll pause at the end of each section to answer them.

When you sign up for this session, I'll ask for your github username. The learning materials are in a private github repository, to which you'll be granted access. We'll work through a series of exercises that are designed to teach Vim best practices. I provide a PDF 'handout' which summarizes all of the material covered in the masterclass. 

How many people can attend?

The class size is capped at 25.

When is it happening?

This class will run for 1 hour, from 17:00 GMT on Wednesday, November 21st. That's 09:00-10:00 if you live in San Fransisco, or 12:00-13:00 if you live in New York. Look up Every Time Zone if you want to find out what that looks like in other time zones.

What do I need?

To follow this class, you'll need an up to date installation of Vim (7.x). You'll also need a web browser with Flash support, so that you can view my screen in realtime.
